Strangely hypnotic educational film about the plastics industry, featuring an eerie bloop bleep electronic score by Carl Stone. I remember watching films like this in elementary school -- grainy 16mm documentaries about plankton or mitochondria or why you should wear seatbelts. How did they not expect kids to be a bit deranged after watching stuff like this?

Hey, cool-sounding, but I get to watch something called "Da Kaiser Code" instead of Plastics. This would mess kids up, too, no doubt.
Incidentally, did you know about the Prelinger Library's online film archive? They have all these great instructional and industrial films on the archive.org (my employer) website:

And the PL's blog, where they post what's new and sort of "curate" some of the material:

Chz.
Hey Ian,
Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Try going to www.avgeeks.com and do a search for Terry Sanders. This website is a fantastic resource for educational film. I'll check out your recommendation, thanks!

Oh AV Geeks! I used to work with that guy occasionally at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences where he'd come in and show "nature" films like King Kong or Squeak the Squirrel. I'm glad he's getting his material online as well.
